So you’re going to speak the universal language of fists in 2.4? Gear up your monk RIGHT in our 2.4 Monk BiS Guide!
Here, I present to you not one – but TWO BiS options for your punching pleasure!! List A featuring a traditional balance of stats with massive DET. List B, one I know some monks would enjoy, with Zero bonus Skillspeed.
The best part is, the difference between the sets is only TWO pieces of gear.
Which Monk BiS is for me!? Well… gear is only one factor of many when considering your overall DPS. Rotation, group composition… here’s the general outline: List A (High Det Balance) is very good in a general scenario. List B is better for TP saving (adjusting your rotation too.. using ToD etc..)
So overall you can give both a try. The more experienced monks will know how to use either build. Both builds are great, make no mistake.
Which set do you prefer? I personally like the Monk BiS List A. The absolutely crushing amount of DET, and overall balance of stats is just too good to pass up!
What order and what pieces to buy as MNK with your Poe tomes? Here’s a good outline:
- Weapon (See notes)
- Legs: Dread T13
- Chest: Dread T12
- Belt: Dread T10
- Ring: Dread T12
- Bracelet: Dread T10
- Head (0 SKS): Dread T10
- Earring (0 SKS): Dread T12
the rest is OPTIONAL.
Don’t rush weapon IF you’re far from getting the Tome from T11, and Carbontwine from T12. A massivei nvestment for 5 ilevels (Compared to HA claws) is better spent elsewhere if your group is stuck in the lower turns.
2.4 MNK Crafted Gear Viability
Since Monks don’t really waste any stat (except for MASSIVE SKS…) all crafted gear are viable. Here are the standouts:
Arache Shirt of Striking is really good since no 110 counterpart has Accuracy!! A solid investment.
Cost effective melds: DET IV, CRIT IV, any Crit follow (Only a DET II fits at this point)
Kirimu Sandals of Striking is also good for the same reason. No 110 Boot has Acc!
Cost effective melds: DET IV, DET IV, any DET and any SS after. (Only Crit III fits!)
The other pieces are all usable by monk… but the two pieces above are more notable and have more of a niche to fill. just remember these simple melding rules.
ACC if you need it > DET > CRIT > SS (dont meld TOO much SS)
Good luck gearing your Monk for BiS in 2.4!
