Leves to next tier? The number of (HQ submit) levequests you need to reach the next “tier” (IE 80 to 82, 82 to 84)
Gear, Strategy, ETC
The gear you want is the Landsaint tier – bought at The Crystarium for scrips. Right by the aetheryte, then go to Scrip vendor under Crafter > Handsaint Gear (IL500).
The universal pieces below give more bang for your buck, but you’ll need to shell out for the class specific weapon and off-hand.

Leveling DoH has always been, “The slower you go – the cheaper and easier it will be”. Since you have many sources of burst exp.
Custom Deliveries – extremely cheap and extremely powerful, but only reset weekly. Use these when you feel like the current tier is a pain!
Loporrit Beast Tribe – Easy, cheap and great EXP. Resets daily.
GC Submissions – daily, and give a gigaton of EXP, far outweighs levequests. Maximize these as long as you can!
Levequests – your “main” source of EXP. Not infinite, but this is considered the “Standard Baseline” of DoH EXP gains. Gotta balance between the EXP of the levequest vs your budget.
Collectables – The “lower end” of EXP gains, but the upside is you can do them infinitely. The EXP per Gil ratio here is by far the worse, but sometimes you gotta do them to get little bits of EXP here and there. Always look out for “bargains”. Typically, the cost of a collectible is its main factor as the EXP different doesn’t really matter since you can spam them.
Grinding – great to just gain EXP and Gil, since you can easily sell levequest items, or other “ingots” (leathers). Great for “afk” play.
Food buff gives 3% EXP, so try to have it on!

Goldsmith Level 80 to 82
first of all – get your rotations ready!
GSM L80 Initial Rotations
While the 80 Durability Rotation “needs” to be updated later at 86, (and another recipe is needed for ONLY L89 recipes), the 40 Durability Rotation can be used during the whole leveling process.
Limitation: Do not try to craft “too high compared to your level” with this. +2 Levels should be fine, but why even try… Just stick to the things in your tier. This is a pretty basic TRUE 100% “Mahiko San Tricks” rotation. Meaning, it will never ever land a Poor on Byregot’s.

This one I’m proud of, it’s a TRUE 100% “Mahiko San Tricks” rotation that WORKS ON EVERY ENDWALKER 40 DUR (while leveling up). It accounts for the oddly levelled L85 ALC “ingots” (Moon Gel, Sungold Firesand), and works on pre-86 Groundwork trait.
It has ONE fail case – crafting WAY above your level. So be careful making

I IMAGINE THIS LEVEQUEST TIER IS “BUGGED”
Ametrine being the stronger leve at 700k+, while the completed ring only gives 500k+ seems off, and inconsistent versus all other levequests with all others classes. If this changes in the future – lemme know.
Goldsmith’s collectable in the L80 tier is Rarefied High Durium Milpreves. Needs 11.53 submissions to reach the next tier (as an easy way to compare to Leves). Gives 1055241 EXP at max collectability.
As long as the basic levequest is “bugged”, this becomes a valid choice to go forward to the next tier.

Well, while the levequests in this tier are still “weird”, it’s very welcome that basic Ametrines are your best bet for levequests… Collectable is also fine.

Well, here you get a 1.5m (3m HQ) levequest – use it. The only time you wouldn’t use this is if you’re on a budget. You only need 4~ to reach the next tier!

Phrygian Ear Cuffs of Healing (Sage with the Golden Earrings) is the “better levequest”, it needs only 7.61 Leves (HQ) to reach the next tier, GSM L86. As Compared to Phrygian Gold Ingot (Gold Rush Order) which needs 8.7 Leves (HQ). 1,067,020 XP vs. 933,280 XP.
Sadly, these levequests aren’t that hot compared to the previous tier. Previous tiers The Sage’s Successor is still much better.
Goldsmith’s collectable in the L84 tier is Rarefied Phrygian Earring. Needs 11.46 submissions to reach the next tier (as an easy way to compare to Leves). Gives 1417077 EXP at max collectability.
Having only meta and no cloth or leather – this could have potential to be cheap. Check it out!

Ignore this tiers leves, continuing with L82 The Sage’s Successor Levequest . Anything else should only be considered for budgetary reasons. Check this tiers collectable – it might be good value.

Rotation update for L86+ 80 DUR!
L86 Rotation Update (80 Durability only)
This rotation is future proof up to L88, and is still TRUE 100% “Mahiko San Tricks” up to that point. It’s also shorter! L86 gives a trait that buffs Groundwork, so we have to use that instead of the double Synthesis going forward.

Ohhh 2m (4m HQ) is godly. But, both of these levequests are decent. enough.
Goldsmith’s collectable in the L86 tier is Rarefied Manganese Horn of the Last Unicorn. Needs 11.51 submissions to reach the next tier (as an easy way to compare to Leves). Gives 1629459 EXP at max collectability.
Basic collectable – nothing to say here. Good when you need it.
GSM L86 tier – what to do
Preferably, do To Fight at Her Side. But The Needle That Binds isn’t bad. My advice is ignore any of the previous Levequests since these are sufficiently powerful for this point.
Goldsmith Level 88 to 90
You need a rotation for, specifically, Level 89 items!
L89 Rotation (ONLY FOR L89 RECIPES)
This is ONLY USED FOR L89 RECIPES. The previous ones will fail to synthesize. Even without tricks, “supposedly” this is still True 100% (without Tricks). If it isn’t I’d still say this is 99%+.

Chondrite Magitek Planisphere (Planisphere to Paper) is the “better levequest”, it needs only 4.63 Leves (HQ) to reach the next tier, GSM L90. As Compared to Star Quartz Wristband of Aiming (Star Athletes) which needs 7.63 Leves (HQ). 2,297,800 XP vs. 1,395,490 XP.
2.2m is a little stronger than the previous tiers giga leve, but honestly it’s not a big deal.
Goldsmith’s collectable in the L88 tier is Rarefied Star Quartz Choker. Needs 11.49 submissions to reach the next tier (as an easy way to compare to Leves). Gives 1853298 EXP at max collectability.
No cloth, no leather, might be worth a look!

Among the four most recent levequests, just choose either of the “Stronger pair” (86 To Fight at Her Side, 88 Planisphere to Paper), whichever is cheaper for you (the EXP difference is negligible ). And both “weaker ones” from 86 or 88 are both equally valid budget options.

The “L76 Rotation Update *40 DUR Only*” didn’t work out for me. It finish’s progress with quality below 20%.
The “L74 Rotation 40 DUR” works for level 1 and level 80 items.
I’ve tried Trial Synthesis with them.

Similar issue in 20 – 25 tier. Says the leve is for Brass Rings but its actually for Brass Ring.

You mention in the Optional Rotation level 64: 40Durability 1058difficulty that weaver has no name/brand. This is incorrect. Weaver has Name of Lightning and Brand of Lightning. It is Goldsmith (GSM) that does not have a brand/name ability and must cross class into it.
I ended up leveling through leves that required Koppranickel Ingots, as suggested by the guide from 62-66. I went all the way to 70 with it. Reason being was the following:
1. Easy rotation to acquire the mats to make with a level 70 miner
2. Roughly 700K XP per triple turn-in
3. Durium Ingot was roughly 500K XP per turn-in
Yes, I realize making one ingot saves more on material costs than making three of them. However, getting 700K XP per leve was worth it. I’d have more leves to use to push to 70.
One other hint for people. Don’t forget to leverage your challenge log crafts (even the melding challenge!) for some cheap, easy XP once per week. Also, do the Custom Deliveries every week. That’s a ton of XP.
Suggest updating this for Mogek The Marvelous (Churning Mists) Lvl 50-60 Moogle Beast Tribe Quests and Idyllshire – Weekly Custom Deliveries Lvl 60+

At level 56 you get a Collectable for Star Ruby, yields 6 scrip, and 103k xp for 2600+ quality. For just 3 raw star ruby and a basilisk whetstone (pre-HW component!) it is fairly quick to mine, dirt cheap to make, and gets you started on scrip farming. Would take around 100 to go from 56 to 60

The quest giver for 50 – 60 is a guy called Marcel in Ul’dah, not in Mor Dhona.

Scorpions crossing is a non-aetheryte mini town right outside Ul’dah.
No1 seems to want to give me a courier quest i have all leve guys unlocked but i got eustace and he only offers me regualr leve quests?
Courier quests aren’t marked as such. They appear as normal levequests, and they start from the HOMETOWN. You can tell it’s a courier if the little image shows the the place you’re going (In GSM’s case, “NOT ULDAH”)
A better way to tell if it’s a courier leve is to look at the icon in the upper-right of the window. Ingenuity is what they’re called (http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Ingenuity) and it’s the picture of the lady giving bread to a guy. Every single leve with that icon is a courier delivery.
I think for Level 1 Courier leve are now Band Bone (Home to Local) and handfulls of Copper Rings (5) (Local to Home)
For the Flourite Ring in the level 25-30 levequests. It is now flourite earrings instead.
Lemme check this out
The worm fang needles give 31098 exp (62196 for HQ) and the silver chokers give 30282 exp (60564) for the level 30-35 GSM leves. both are the same turn in location and both are easy mats to get a hold of. So you end up getting more exp with the needles.
“GSM 10: 12x Copper Rings”
This needs to be more specific as I just crafted 12 Copper Rings rather than 12 handfuls of copper rings, which are actually needed.
I’m sorry but the in-game description of “Copper Ring” versus “Copper Rings” is quite vague, no? I guess SE should change it to like copper ringlet
Would be helpful to show what to grind on from 0 to15. You advised not to use levequests, but do not provide the alternative method.
Hmm I guess I should edit to be more specific. Courier <-> Reverse courier leves are SUPER VALUE in this tier, but regulars are JUNK
Ah ok, I have been trying to find items to grind on for 1 to 15 as I noticed that some of your guides have them and some do not. I would rather save the leves for the higher level when trying to level up crafting on multiple classes at the same time. Maybe you can add what items to grind on for 1 to 15.
